Does anyone know where I can get suitable icons (preferrably free) that I
could use on my form buttons for adding / editing / deleting etc. The
resources that come with dBase look a bit out of date (IMO).

I did google it but some of the results looked a bit cartoonish.

At some point you may have to just give in and purchase something. <g>

Seriously. Icon Experience has some spectacular icons/images that can be
used with dBASE, but they're not inexpensive.

Good icons and the best thing is that you can buy any icons you want in
cheap prices.

Thanks for posting! Just the thing when you have your collection
already, but feel like missing one or two icons.

I looked at their portfolio right now; not too innovative, but some
could prove very useful nevertheless.

Merci Bernard,

they do look quite good. But there is a label saying "not for business
use" (Usage privé uniquement !).

What would we have to do to license them for non-private usage?

ciao,
André

When I add an icon to a button or event to a form, it doesn't render
properly. Very strange colours.
Any ideas???
XP SP2 with wrong manifest settings?
Icons with too high resolution? (dBase can only work with low-resolution
icons)

Hello Ken,

mainly .ico files.at various sizes, 16s, 32s.

dBase seems to have problems dealing with transperency.

You need to check the appendix of The dBASE Book that deals with
graphics. Seriously. All the details are in there.

Basically I don't use .ICO files for buttons on forms. I use .BMP or
.GIF ... works great.

Hi Ken,
I read the info in your book.
It's all beginning to make sense now.
There's a lot of stuff involved, and it if hadn't have been for folk
like J.P., I wouldn't have gotten it mostly figured out myself. <g>
