Hi,
I have created a VPN lan with Hamachi to connect same remote pc that need
updating the same database. I have created an application that i have
installed on all computer.
The problem is that, after start of the application (fast), when open the
card that send data to the remote database it is very very slow (about 3
minutes).
I use an ADSL connection to 2 Megabits

If i test the application in a local Lan it's run correctly...

Thank's

HI,

Your outgoing is probably not 2 mb, but something much slower. When compared
to a lan, you are comparing it with 100mb connection
You are bound to see a huge performance loss when conncted like this.
Your performance could also could be improved with a rethink and or redesign
of your system, knowing the performance and connectivity issues that you
face.

Best way to accomplish your goal is Terminal Server, it allows multiple
people to log into it, each having their own private session, it runs like a
remote control but its "not" a remote control solution.
It is very effiecient because it don't not pull the database information
across the wire, only "keystrokes and screenshots" but you would never know
that because it runs so efficently.

DBF tables were never meant for anything less than local access or 10mbs and
greater for sharing.
As Robert mentioned there are other alternatives.
